Thank you for your interest in our Bed & Breakfast. Our B&B is an 1850 French Second Empire home listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. We are located on four acres of land with walking trails, gardens, apple trees and sunset views of the Adirondack Mountains. All rooms have high ceilings, large windows and original wood floors. Common areas include the library room with a television and a cozy living room furnished with antiques and a 1927 Steinway piano. We offer a full, hot country breakfast served in our large dining area, which overlooks our lovely backyard. We have, available for your use, croquet, basketball, board games and mountain bikes. There are many other activities this area has to offer, such as hiking, canoeing, swimming, golfing, horseback riding and antiquing. We are located in the heart of Champlain Valley near many sites and attractions. Our home is on Main Street in the historic city of Vergennes, the smallest city in Vermont, which boasts many beautiful Victorian homes. We are within walking distance of town, where you can explore the beautiful Bixby library or the newly renovated Vergennes Opera House. While you’re in town you can browse in the antique shops or grab a bite to eat in the many restaurants Vergennes has to offer. A further walk will bring you to Otter Creek where you can view the power and beauty of the waterfall that was responsible for the industrial growth in this area in the late 1800’s. Just a few minute's walk from our home is Kennedy Marketplace, where you'll find hundreds of antiques and crafts. After a day of exploring, come back and relax in one of our Adirondack chairs and enjoy the magnificent sunset view from our backyard. |
